This special exhibition, presented in collaboration with Sothebys , is an official extension of “Our Bygone Days” and celebrates the legacy of Hong Kong comics through three iconic creators:

Two Generations of “Old Master Q”: Witness the evolution of this beloved comic across father Alfonso Wong and son Joseph Wong, from the 1960s to today.

Andy Seto & “Cyber Weapon Z”: Dive into the dynamic, tech-driven visions of 90s Hong Kong with his record-breaking sci-fi series.

Pen So & “Kowloon Walled City”: Explore the intricate ink drawings that capture the essence of a legendary urban landmark through a contemporary lens.

The showcase focuses on Pen So’s original scene illustrations for Kowloon Walled City: Romantic Escape, with most works shown publicly for the first time. The artist uses delicate ink lines to recreate the Walled City’s interior and exterior landscapes with architectural precision, eschewing color yet creating powerful narrative tension. Two new works created specifically for this exhibition further extend his contemporary interpretation of this historical symbol.

This exhibition has been in preparation for almost a year. Join us in tracing the city’s social transformations as told through the original manuscripts of its most visionary storytellers.

今次展覽我圍繞《九龍城寨之浪漫大逃亡》創作的場景原畫，大部分作品首次公開展出。以墨線還原城寨內外景觀與建築細節，摒棄色彩卻賦予畫面強烈敘事張力。展覽特別呈獻兩幅全新創作，延伸對這一歷史符號的當代詮釋。

This exhibition features primarily drawings of Hong Kong scenery, including both realistic landscapes and surreal creations. Hong Kong’s architectural design is imbued with a sense of surrealism. Its densely packed clusters of buildings are unique, iconic and rich with imaginative possibilities, evoking an almost dreamlike quality and inspiring boundless creativity. Each Hong Kong scene tells its own surreal story.

這個pop up展覽主要展出香港景觀的作品，包括寫實風景和超現實創作。香港的建築設計充滿超現實感，其密集的建築群獨特而具有標誌性，富有無限的想像可能性，彷彿置身於夢境之中，激發無窮的創造力。每一幅香港的景象都像講述自己的超現實故事。

In the tiny studio, I showcased three pieces of artwork, incorporating light and space into the display.

All Roads Lead to Rome
All Roads Lead to Rome is a surrealist vision that reimagines the Roman Colosseum as a floating sky city, surrounded by Hong Kong’s soaring skyscrapers and serene natural mountains landscapes. This work explores the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures symbols, suggesting that in an imagined world, every —regardless of origin—ultimately converges at the same destination.

The Moonlight City
The Moonlight City is a mysterious and poetic composition that envisions a metropolis bathed in the glow of a vast full moon. Towering buildings rise like silent giants, while solitary figure rows a boat, seemingly adrift in midair beneath the moonlight. The piece evokes a profound sense of solitude and exploration, reflecting humanity's journey through the bustling urban landscape toward the unknown and into the depths of the inner self.

Sant'Antonino and the Whale
Inspired by the legend of Saint Antonino rescuing a child from the jaws of a whale. This artwork symbolizes courage and protection.

《條條大路通羅馬》是一幅充滿奇幻意象的作品，將羅馬鬥獸場幻化為飄浮於天空之中的奇幻天空之城，周圍環繞著香港的高聳摩天大樓與靜謐自然山巒。作品呈現東西文化的交融，並暗示在這個幻想世界中，無論起點為何，所有道路最終都通向同一個目的地。

This May, step into PEN SO Café — a whimsical installation by renowned Hong Kong artist Pen So, where illustration, storytelling, and café culture intertwine.

Known for his intricate black-and-white cityscapes, Pen So transforms the fair into a surreal café experience inspired by daily urban rituals and human connection. Sip, sketch, and reflect as you enter a space where every corner tells a story — from illustrated napkins to quiet encounters.

擅長以黑白筆觸描繪城市風景的 Pen So，這次將藝術博覽會變身成一間充滿故事的咖啡館。從插畫餐巾紙到空間中的靜謐互動，展覽不只是觀看，更是一場沉浸式體驗——在日常儀式中，重新感受人與人之間的連結。

Comic artist Pen So, known for his mastery of black-and-white creation, presents the complete creative journey of his signature work Dali Bookstore in this exhibition—from the earliest conceptual sketches to the finished comic. Visitors are guided step by step through the work’s creative development, gaining insight into how the artist incorporates surrealist techniques into comic storytelling. This exhibition is not only a visual feast, but also a rare opportunity to explore and share the artist’s creative thinking.

擅長黑白創作的漫畫家Pen So將於展覽中呈現其代表作《達利書店》的完整創作歷程——從最初的構思草圖到漫畫成品，逐步探索這部作品的創作脈絡，領略作者如何運用超現實主義的技法，融入漫畫創作之中。這不僅是一場視覺饗宴，�更是一次難得的創作思維分享。

AVATR 11’s unique aesthetic reaches new heights.
At the AVATR Hong Kong launch event, renowned local illustrator and comic artist Pen So was invited to create a live artwork on the body of the AVATR 11. His creation, a captivating fusion of local culture and futuristic luxury, beautifully showcased the ultimate collision between art and technology.

Hong Kong : À Travers les Souvenirs | Paris exhibition
巴黎展覽：香港：回憶見

As Halloween approaches, Langham Place in Hong Kong is set to host a unique celebration, blending sound art and visual illustration in an exhibition titled "Fantastic Black & White: Mong Kok’s Parallel World." This event is co-organized by Langham Place, cultural art platform dl.thevoc, which uses sound to share surreal urban tales of Mong Kok. International award-winning comic artist Pen So also contributes to the event, offering city dwellers a chance to momentarily escape their hectic urban lives and immerse themselves in a mysterious world of Mong Kok, depicted through black-and-white line art.

萬聖節的臨近，香港的朗豪坊將掀起一場獨特的慶祝活動，結合聲音藝術與視覺插畫，帶來名為《奇幻黑白：旺角異世界》的展覽。這次活動由朗豪坊聯手文化藝術平台【電笠】「人人和音」以聲音分享超現實的旺角都市奇聞，及國際得獎漫畫家PEN SO共同策劃，讓市民在繁忙的都市生活中，暫時逃離現實，沉浸於一個以黑白線條描繪旺角的迷離異象世界。

回憶見｜香港漫畫體驗展

Kowloon Walled City was an ungoverned but controlled by local triads and had high rates of prostitution, gambling, and drug abuse. The city has been demolished in the 1990s and has become a legendary place in Hong Kong.A few years ago I drew a graphic novel "City of Darkness: A Romantic Escape". The story was created by Mr YuYi.
In this exhibition, I have selected a few works that I hope will give everyone a better understanding of this place.
九龍城砦は統治されていませんでしたが、地元のトライアドによって管理されており、売春、ギャンブル、薬物乱用の割合が高かった。これらの都市は 1990 年代に取り壊され、香港の伝説的な場所になりました。
数年前、グラフィックノベル「City of Darkness: A Romantic Escape」を描きました。物語はYuYi氏によって作成されました。
今回の展覧会では、この場所をより理解していただける作品をいくつか選んでみました。

From structures intertwining the modern and retro designs, varied cityscapes, to traditional customs and performance, Hong Kong always showcases a facade of integrating East and West, and blending the old with the new. All kinds of cultures, history, stories, and affection are entailed. Be it the Hong Kong local or overseas tourist, one can discover the uniqueness and charm of the city everywhere, appreciate the beautiful view, and enjoy it.
Presented by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels, curated by Hong Kong Arts Centre (Comix Home Base), Wanderers’ Land—Cityscapes in Hong Kong is a touring pop-up exhibition being held in France, Belgium, and Portugal respectively. It exhibits a curation of drawings about Hong Kong featured spots, bringing foreign audiences to look around Hong Kong from a local's perspective. Through this pop-up exhibition, it is also hoped that Hong Kong artists and creations can be introduced to the world in order to promote the long-term development of the Hong Kong local arts and culture.
In France and Belgium, the pop-up exhibition features drawings by local comics artist Pen So. Using a monochromatic palette of black and white, he depicts six local iconic spots, namely Tung Tak Pawn Shop, Hong Kong tram, Quarry Bay 'Monster Building', Lion Rock, Mido Cafe, and Dai Kam Lung Company. With his intricate strokes, he authentically illustrates the urban characteristics with local stories, meanwhile, shows his soft spot for the place where he grew up.

從現代與復古交錯的建築物，五光十色的城市景觀到富傳統特色的習俗表演，香港都展示了中西合璧且新舊交融的面貌，背後更訴說著各種文化歷史、故事和情懷。不論是香港本地人或是外地遊客，都能從這座城市各處探索到不同的獨特魅力，欣賞美麗的風景線，享受其中。

由香港駐布魯塞爾經濟貿易辦事處主辦、香港藝術中心（動漫基地）策劃的限定展覽《遊人之境——香城地景》分別於法國、比利時與葡萄牙舉辦，展出一系列香港特色景地的畫作，帶領海外觀眾以本地人的視角，四處遊歷香港。透過是次展覽，亦希望向國際推廣香港藝術家及作品，長遠推動本地文化藝術發展。

在法國站與比利時站中，限定展覽展示本地漫畫家蘇頌文的作品。蘇頌文以黑白畫作描繪出6個具標誌性的香港景物，包括同德大押、香港電車、鰂魚涌「怪獸大廈」、獅子山、美都餐室和大金龍蔘茸海味店。細膩密集的線條下，寫實地還原城市面貌與特色，將背後的在地故事記錄下來，更拼湊出他對這片成長地的情有獨鍾。
